Arundel State School has a comprehensive Instrumental program. We have a Strings teacher who instructs violin, viola, double bass and cello. Students start learning these instruments in Year 3 and continue until the end of Year 6. They receive half an hour lesson and for the Senior strings a 45 minute ensemble rehearsal each week. During the year they perform at school assemblies, concerts and the Gold Coast Eisteddfod.
Additionally, Arundel State School has an outstanding Band program. The Band program consists of brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. Students start learning these instruments in Year 4 and continue until the end of Year 6. They receive half an hour lesson and 45 minute band rehearsal each week. Arundel State School has a Junior Concert Band and a Senior Concert Band. These ensembles perform at various school and community functions throughout the year. Students also have the opportunity to enhance their skills by attending workshops and camps.
